From a classic overlace series of dresses, this piece expresses the overlapping of colors unique to lace.

The naked skin peeks through the translucent lace sleeves and hem, imbuing the dress with a romantic mood. It can be worn day-to-day but also befits a fancy party.

We made extravagant use of seven kinds of lace including French lace, which have been dyed and applied with foil putting particular importance on the color tones. To arrive at this combination, we tested a myriad of different variations to capture the subtle color nuances.

The couture technique for joining various delicate laces made of different types of fabrics is extremely challenging, requiring significant care and time. It is something that can only be achieved because of overlace's own sewing factories and consummate sewing technicians.
